Bamangachi (Suripukur) is a census town under Barasat I (community development block) of Barasat sadar subdivision in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. It is is 30 km from Sealdah & 35 km from Howrah, 7 km from Barasat and 32 km from Bongaon on the Sealdah-Bangaon section of Eastern Railway. As of 2011 India census, Bamangachi had a population of 79,815.


North 24 Parganas district has been identified as one of the areas where ground water is affected by arsenic contamination. A lot of health issues are found among people here due to this infectivity. RHCF took one more step forward by opening a new primary healthcare centre at Srirampur on February 5, 2018. This centre is sponsored by Sita Devi Malhotra Charitable Trust (SDMC Trust). Alike other rural unit of RHCF, this unit too offers healthcare service and weeklong free medicines to patients under general medicine, optometry, dentistry and homeopathy. It currently runs five and half days a week (Friday-Wednesday; Wednesday being half-day) from 9 AM-5 PM and on Wednesday from 9 AM-1 PM; Thursday (closed). This centre is sponsored by Sita Devi Malhotra Charitable Trust (SDMC Trust).
